Pastor Ron Siemers was born on March 5, 1962 in Massillon, Ohio. He is the second of six children. His parents are Ron & Dorothy Siemers. His father was a salesman for the bowling division of AMF so his family moved often; living in several places in Minnesota before finally settling in Des Moines, IA. That is where Pastor Siemers grew up and calls home and where he became a loyal fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings; his two favorite teams. His five siblings are scattered over the country: two sisters in WI, a brother in Des Moines, a brother in Nashville, TN, and his older sister in Nashua, NH. His parents live in Rochester, MN.
Pastor went through his ministerial training at Martin Luther Academy in New Ulm, Martin Luther Prep School in Prairie du Chien, Northwestern College in Watertown, WI, and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. He graduated from the Seminary in 1988. Before accepting the call to Immanuel, he served 5 congregations in Minnesota: Trinity & Beautiful Savior in Austin, Immanuel and Zion in Hutchinson, and Trinity in Nicollet.
Pastor was married to his wife Sheryl in 1985 in Waupun, WI, her hometown. Her mother and a sister still live there. Sheryl also has a sister living in Atlanta. Pastor & Sheryl have 3 grown sons. Sam is the oldest and is married to Gretchen. They live in New Berlin, WI, with their one year old daughter Amelia. Ben also lives in the Milwaukee area and currently works at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Nate is the youngest and is a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
In his leisure time, Pastor enjoys going for walks, bike rides, and playing golf and his guitar. He enjoys watching football, basketball, and golf. He loves many different styles of music and is looking forward to sharing that love with his new church family. He and his family look forward to getting to know you.
